I have a Golden Retriever and he is turning 2. My baby is extremely special to me. I like to make him Homemade dog treats. I always get him a present on Easter, Halloween, Christmas, Valentines day, and of course his birthday. This year he’s getting a hard toy to play with our little Boston Terrier. And on valentines he gets a heart shaped dog treat and a Raw Hide dog bone. And on his birthday last year I made him a dog cake. And got him a Bunch of toys that he loved. But this year I thought I would make him a little something special, and I looked, and looked, and looked, until I found Einstein, and I knew this is what I will make him. And on it I will put 2nd B-day made out of dog treats. So thank you. You have made My dog Wilson and I very happy. P.S. Einstein is ADORABLE!!!!!!

"Frost" the cake with cream cheese and let set in the fridge for 30 minutes. Use a knife to help release the cake from the springform pan. I also added a few sprinkles to the top and decorated with a dog treat and birthday sign. I put colored cream cheese in a piping bag to create the border.

If you're celebrating your puppy's birthday with a few of his favorite pals, there are even more cake ideas for your furry guests to enjoy. Instead of one cake, offer an array of dog-friendly cupcakes -- or "pupcakes" -- for your puppy and his friends. Cupcakes are easy to bake in batches, and extras can go home with the canine guests in "doggy bags." Another option, especially for smaller dogs, is dog-friendly cakepops, delicious round cake pieces attached to a beef or thin rawhide "stick."
