My dog (2 yr) greyhound mix has a terrible sensitive stomach and Premium Edge Adult Chicken was recommended. She initially ate the food but for the past 2 bags has had terrible diarrhea and is now refusing to eat it. Has anyone had issues like this or have any suggestions? Thanks!

Observations: My 6 year old Golden Retrievers did not adapt well at all to this food. In fact, I have never seen both dogs universally have as many digestive issues with any food (including the feed store cheap stuff) as they have had with PE2. They continually do very well on Premium Edge I, but when I tried to transition to PE2, they started experiencing diarrhea, vomiting, and increased skin irritation. It could be that they are sensitive to a particular ingredient in this food (possibly just the high glycemic carbs), but usually when it comes to sensitivity to a particular product either one dog or the other will react unfavorably to that food, and in this case they both had digestive upsets the entire duration I fed PE2. Premium Edge recommends transitioning from the high protein/low carb PE1 to the PE2 product after weight has been lost, and PE2 should be utilized as weight maintenance food. I found that PE1 works just as effectively in maintaining the dog’s ideal weight as it was in helping them to lose weight in the first place, assuming feeding volumes are adjusted.
